Hillandale is a long established working farm located in the centre of South Africa's Great Karoo region. The whole Karoo area has a special appeal that is hard to describe but unforgettable once you have experienced it.
Come and visit, take in the wide sweeping views of open veld, breathe the clear air, listen to distant animal sounds under a canopy of brilliant stars that city residents never see, and you will know why so many people are charmed by the magic of the Karoo.
Getting here is easy, with about an hour's drive from the main regional town of Beaufort West. Access is by way of a good gravel road, quite suitable for small family cars.
For travellers reaching Beaufort West by bus or train, we can arrange transport from town to the farm if required.
