when when Carl and his family called in at Honingklip during their
whirlwhind SA holiday.

Carl wrote a bit later, after getting back to his snowy hideout in the Catskills (USA)
"...all went by too fast ... Muizenberg almost every day with Paulo's boards strapped on Ma's car - there are three boards for three boys.... QW over the weekend with Dreyers and Mindhams staying over - one set on Friday the other on Saturday - lovely hot swimming weather and braaivleis's at night, then to H-klip for brunch on Sunday - all the nephews and little kids there, the obligatory ride in the 1929 Bently - all the stuff - look at the cars etc, and back around Bettys Bay/Hangklip in Purrrfect afternoon weather."
